Stratford University appoints Dr. Patricia S. Miller as campus director of its Woodbridge campus

From Statford University:

Stratford University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Patricia S. Miller as campus director of its Woodbridge campus. Dr. Miller has been the academic dean atWoodbridge since July 2009. During Dr. Miller’s tenure, the campus student population has more than doubled; programs in Accounting, Business, graduate studies and Information Assurance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing have been added.

IB Program Information Session to be Held at Rosa Parks Elementary School

An information session for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB) will be held at Rosa Parks Elementary School on Wednesday, January 25, at 7 p.m. in Story Room 171. High School Schedule Will Change during Administration of Semester Exams

From Prince William County Public Schools:

Semester exams are scheduled to begin in all 11 Prince William County high schools on Tuesday, January 24, a full day of school. Monday, January 23, is scheduled to be an exam review day and will also follow a full-day schedule. All high school students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25; Thursday, January 26; and Friday, January 27.

All Prince William County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 30, a teacher workday. If high school examinations are interrupted by inclement weather on January 25, 26, or 27, the teachers’ workday will move forward one day for each day that schools are delayed or closed. When weather affects high school exam schedules, teacher workdays at all levels—elementary, middle, and high school—are affected accordingly. 

Calling Parents of Woodbridge High School Rising Ninth-Graders: Come to Breakfast Jan. 21

Woodbridge High School hopes to ease the jitters of parents of rising ninth-graders who will be entering high school in September. Parents and guardians are invited to meet with administrators and faculty on Saturday, January 21, at 9 a.m.  A light breakfast and coffee will be available to all who attend.

Proposed School Budget and Capital Improvements Program to be Unveiled February 1

Prince William County Public Schools Superintendent Steven L. Walts will present his proposed fiscal year (FY) budget for the period beginning July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, and the Capital Improvements Program for 2013–22 to the School Board on Wednesday, February 1. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the School Board meeting room in the Edward L. Kelly Leadership Center, 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas.
