Local Teens Awarded Scholarships For Academic & Athletic Achievements | Schools

Three D.C. area teens were chosen to receive academic scholarships from the Allstate Foundation and the Virginia High School League (VHSL).

Ali Jones, Jason Will, and Alexis Chaet competed against a pool of over 150 students representing 64 high schools throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and were awarded based upon their outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, and involvement in other school functions or community service.

“The Allstate Foundation is proud to recognize these outstanding students for their stellar performance in the classroom and with their extracurricular activities,” said Shelva Clemons, Communications Manager for The Allstate Foundation.  “Clearly these young leaders are the future and it is an honor to support them in their future endeavors for higher education.     

The students will be honored at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville on Tuesday, May 15th at 11:15 AM.
