Bring Canned Goods to Manassas Bistro and Enter Raffle to Win Thanksgiving Day Dinner for Eight

City Square Cafe of Old Town Manassas is hosting a Thanksgiving Day raffle to benefit SERVE, a Prince William County non-profit that distributes food and provides assistance to homeless local families. From Oct. 15 through Nov. 15, patrons can bring in non-perishable or canned goods, and enter a raffle to win a Thanksgiving Day dinner to-go for eight, prepared by City Square Café. D.C. Area Chick-fil-A Restaurants to Host Daddy-Daughter Date Night

The 48 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the D.C. Area will host a “Date Night” for fathers and daughters on Monday, Oct. 10 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. During this

special evening, fathers and daughters are encouraged to spend time together while they enjoy dinner, great conversation and several special activities.

OKTOBERFEST FEATURED AT CITY SQUARE CAFÉ ON SAT., OCT. 8

City Square Café of Old Town Manassas is featuring traditional German fare for their Oktoberfest celebration on Sat., Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. A select menu includes a la carte pricing for each course, ranging from $6.50 to $19, along with German wines and beers. Live German accordion music will also be featured. Call 703-369-6022 for reservations.

The menu includes: a starter of bratwurst over sauerkraut served with brown mustard, a salad of roasted red beets, sliced green apples, toasted walnuts and blue cheese tossed with garden greens in a Maple mustard vinaigrette served with grilled asparagus; entrée choices of beer broth stew of pork, beef, and veal with season’s vegetables or wiener schnitzel served with grilled asparagus with spaetzle; and homemade German chocolate cake or apple strudel.

Live entertainment is offered on scheduled evenings, highlighting local jazz singers on their outdoor patio.

Celebrates 51st Anniversary in Sept.

 The Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church festival celebrates their 51st annual festival, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 16, 17 and 18, 2011, from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (rain or shine). The largest and oldest DC Greek Festival is located at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at the corner of 16th and Upshur streets in Washington, D.C. Admission is FREE.
