News

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- Two men have been arrested for robbing a church, police said.

Stephen Ernest Wing, Jr., 19, of Dumfries and Andrew Phillip Conteh, 18, of Lorton, were arrested Sunday, after the "Christ is Lord Ministry" on 14338, Jefferson Davis hwy, in Woodbridge was robbed, police said.

At around 11:45 a.m., Wing went into an unlocked door of the church where members of the church were counting the days collections. He showed the church members a gun and took a bunch of money, then ran away, police said.

Wing then met up with Conteh, who police say, is an accomplice in the crime.

Both men were arrested at their homes without incident, police said.

None of the other parishioners even knew the crime had even happened, according to police.

Both were charged with abduction, robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, police said.
