Loch Lomond Elementary School writers receive awards in grand style at Old Dominion Speedway | News
From Prince William County Public Schools:
Thanks to the generosity of local merchants, 10 Loch Lomond Elementary School students are the proud owners of new bicycles, prizes they won in a schoolwide writing contest organized by Donna Garzione, third-grade teacher. Contributions from “On the Run” franchises in Virginia and Maryland and Polenz Motorsports made it possible for the students to receive these prizes. The students who wrote the winning essays each received their new bicycle in grand style as guests of Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas on May 14. Their parents were witness to this memorable evening. Raj Ghandi and Appiah Tharmarajan, franchise owners of “On the Run” in Manassas and Accokeek, Maryland, respectively, used their local store marketing funds to make a difference in this school community. The Loch Lomond Elementary School winners include Aidan Nuenke, Chasmine Hoskinson, Joe Villatoro, Kendra Brummett, Andrea Gomez, Aldo Falla, Franky Garzione, Jazman Jenkins, and Selena Sellers.
