Woman Charged With Brandishing Firearm

WOODBRIDGE,  Va. (WUSA)- A woman has been arrested for brandishing a firearm at a man, Prince William County Police report.

Patrice Kiara Walker, 21, of the 13100 block of Tazanari Way in Woodbridge, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, brandishing and domestic assault and battery.


 On March 14th at 5:16 p.m., police responded to the 13100 block of Tazanari Way in Woodbridge for a domestic. The victim, a 25-year-old man, reported that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, had had an verbal encounter earlier in the day. Later, the victim was leaving the residence when he heard a shot being fired within the home. The victim saw the accused was pointing a gun towards his direction. The victim left the residence and the accused followed, encountering the victim in the parking lot.

Once there the victim was able to get the gun away from the accused, the two had a physical altercation. Police arrived and were able to detain the accused without further incident. No injuries were reported. The fired round was fired in the direction of the victim and did not penetrate past the residence.

Walker's court date is unavailable. She is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.
