WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police are looking for a man who they say raped a teenage girl while she was walking home.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on October 11 in the area of Powell's Creek Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive in Woodbridge.

A 17-year-old female was walking home when an unknown man forced her into a nearby wooded area and raped her, police said.

The victim told a friend about the rape on Oct. 15, and the friend took her to a hospital for treatment. Police were then notified.

The suspect is described as a male, possibly black or Hispanic, approximately 30 years old, 6' tall, 200 pounds, with a medium build, medium complexion and short medium dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, according to police.
