Woman Arrested On Multiple Charges After Domestic Dispute | News
WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) - A woman was arrested for abduction and other charges after a domestic incident that resulted in minor injuries and damage to vehicles, police report.
Katrina Ramirez, 23, of no fixed address was charged with abduction, domestic assault and battery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, destruction of property, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test and violating an emergency protective order.
On the evening of May 5, police responded to the the 5800 block of Ruxton Dr in Woodbridge for a report of a domestic argument. The victim, a 28 year old man, said that the accused, Ramirez, had driven to his house intoxicated, and an argument began. During the argument, Ramirez allegedly struck the victim in the face several times.
During the argument, the victim told another family member, a 61- year-old woman, to take his children, a 6-year-old boy and a 4- year-old boy, and leave the home. She got the children in the vehicle, but as she began to drive away, Ramirez jumped in front of the vehicle, stopping the other woman from leaving the one way street.
The victim was able to get Ramirez away from the vehicle, which was then able to leave the area safely. He reported that Ramirez then kicked a dent into one vehicle, then got into a separate vehicle and kicked out its windshield while sitting inside. Ramirez picked up a metal ramp, broke out a rear window and caused another dent in the same vehicle.
Both vehicles belonged to members of the victim's residence. A neighbor contacted police who arrived and arrested the accused without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.
After being arrested, Ramirez contacted the victim after being served court paperwork banning her from doing so. Her court date is unavailable. She is being held on an $8,000 secured bond.
