Recycling Extravaganza Comes To Va.

The end of summer is quickly approaching, and the need to prepare your kids for school and get the house in order is right around the corner.

The City of Falls Church wants to make sure your transition from summer to fall is flawless, and are hosting a Recycling Extravaganza scheduled for Saturday, September 8 where city residents can bring a variety of items including used electronics, cell phones, clothing and textiles, bicycles, printer cartridges, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and medical supplies like crutches to be recycled, reused, or donated to charity.

Paper shredding will also be available to residents and volunteers are needed.

For more information and volunteering, contact Allison Lohrenz at 703.248.5456.

For a complete list of acceptable items and what happens to each item after donation, visit www.fallschurchva.gov/RE.
