Attempted Bank Robbery in Prince William County

This was sent to us by Prince William County Police Public Information Office:

On September 21st at 12:48PM, police responded to the SunTrust Bank located at 4377 Kevin Walker Dr in the Montclair section of Prince William County for an attempted robbery. A preliminary investigation has revealed that an unknown man entered the bank and attempted to retrieve an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The man implied he had a gun but no gun was seen. No money was given to the man and no injuries were reported. The man fled the scene, apparently on foot, prior to police arrival.

            Black male, in his early 20’s, 5’10” to 6’0” / 260lbs, thin to medium build

Prince William County Investigation Into Widewater Drive Shooting Still Ongoing

At 7:34 A.M. on Saturday, September 18th, Prince William County police responded to a call at the 15700 block of Widewater Drive in the Montclair neighborhood for a shooting in progress, and the investigation into the incident continues.  If you have any information on the shooting, e-mail us at neighborhoods@wusa9.com.

Carjacking in Manassas

Prince William County Police Officers are on the hunt for a man that stole a red 2005 Toyota Camry 4-door this morning just before 10:00 a.m. in Manassas, VA. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’00” tall, slim build, and he was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and wearing a backpack.

A 46 year old female was returning to her car in the West Gate Giant parking lot, located at 8025 Sudley Road, when the suspect demanded her keys and drove away her Camry. The license plate number is JTL-7235. If you have any tips on the location of the call, you are asked to call the Prince William County Police Department at (703) 792-6500.

Police Seeking Help to Find and Stop Community Vandalisms

The Prince William County Police Department has seen several different cases of vandalism recently. The first case occurred on Friday, July 30 at “Waterworks” at Andrew Leitch Park at 5301 Dale Blvd in Dale City sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Food was thrown all around the pool area and there was furniture thrown into the pool as well. The damage to the area was estimated to be thousands of dollars.

Another vandalism incident was reported at “Waterworks” on August 5. Police suspect the vandalism occurred between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The incident is believed to be related to the one in July.
