Manassas Hires Compliance Officer and Releases 2012 Water Quality Report

 

The City of Manassas Department of Public Works and Utilities recently welcomed Derek Howard as their new compliance officer. A 20-year veteran chemist and environmental specialist from Florida, Howard is responsible for ensuring safe drinking water in Manassas City and working with the City of Manassas Treatment plant operators, the Virginia Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Quality. The Manassas Public Works/Utilities Department just released the 2012 Water Quality Report, available in digital format on their website. METROPOLITAN FINE ARTS TO DEBUT DANCE CLASSES IN OLD TOWN ALEX - Mon., Mar.4,

 

Metropolitan Fine Arts Center (MFAC) of Alexandria and Fairfax Station, Va. will be offering dance classes on Mon., Mar. 4 at its third location, The Athenaeum at 201 Prince Street in Old Town Alexandria, Va. The Athenaeum dance classes are only offered on Mondays and Tuesdays. Schedules and fees can be viewed at www.metrofinearts.com.

MFAC of Old Town Alexandria will teach ballet, hip-hop and jazz for adults and children, as well as MetroBarre, the mind/body program, combining the best of Pilates, yoga and ballet barre training.

Occasionally Cake will give out one free gingerbread man cookie per person for those that donate a toy. The Firefighters and Friends toy drive was founded in 1995 by Capt.
