Trains, Music, Rides and Living History Offered at Annual Railway Festival

The Manassas Heritage Railway Festival kicks off on Sat., June 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Old Town Manassas. The annual, family celebration of railway history is FREE. The festival showcases model railroad displays, live bands, Bull Run Cloggers, Cowgirl Show and lots of kids’ rides. As a preview to the upcoming 150th Civil War commemoration,

Salon Daniel of McLean, Va. recently treated 54 local teenage girls to a ‘salon day’ in preparation for Pure Fashion Show on Sun., April 3,  in Bethesda, Md. The Salon Daniel hair stylists and make-up artists shared their beauty tips and headshots were taken for the Pure Fashion Show program booklet.

Pure Fashion is a program designed for girls, ages 14 to 18. It is a character formation program that enhances not only a young woman's external appearance, but more importantly, her interior beauty and balanced self confidence.

Salon Daniel of McLean, Va. raised more than $2000 for Fashion for Paws, benefiting the Washington Humane Society. The salon had donated 100 percent of all sales to the Washington Humane Society during a day-long promotion.
