Manassas Chorale presents Carols by Candlelight

Last night my husband and I attended the Manassas Chorale's Christmas concert at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas.  Rebecca Verner, the Artistic Director since 1997, led the Chorale and the Chorale Ensemble in fourteen songs in the spirit of Christmas, accompanied by Jonathan Laird on piano,nd a small orchestra.  The evening's program also featured seven numbers by soloist Jean Kellogg, who also happens to be the Executive Director of the Hylton Center since 2008.  We kept expecting her to let loose and blow the roof off the building with her opera-trained voice, but she kept it under amazing control.
