With May just around the corner,  Check out these fun and easy spring and summer events that make it possible for you to have fun and give back to the Alexandria community!

• On May 2nd, stop by the Give Back Alexandria's Spring Happy Hour between 6 and 8 p.m.,  at Pork Barrel BBQ located at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue.

• Also on May 2nd, check out Spring2ACTion and join residents for 24 hours of unprecedented giving.Every donation you make gives your favorite nonprofit a chance to win more money through matching grants and prizes! A $10 donation goes a long way.Give Back Alexandria is offering $500 matching grants to ALIVE! and Higher Achievement – your donation will be doubled on May 2 when you give online at www.Spring2ACTion.org. 

• On Thursday, June 7 check out the 5th Annual Bubbles & Bluegrass fundraiser at The Carlyle House to benefit ALIVE! and Higher Achievement. Enjoy live music from Over Under Down Yonder and southern barbeque fare from Alexandria’s best restaurants.  Tickets are $55 (until May 25).
