Tour of Redskins New Training Camp Site

RICHMOND, Va. (WUSA9) -- A dozen pieces of heavy construction equipment move about the Redskins new training facility in Richmond  as they work to meet it's June 30th completion date and Training Camp start July 25th. 

It's called the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center.   Bon Secours Virginia Health System operates a number of hospitals across the country and will operate a sports medicine center at the facility.  

Redskins  Training Camp runs from Thursday, July 25th to Friday  August 16.   Fan appreciation day is August 3rd.  Admission is free for all fans, but parking won't be easy.   

The city of Richmond will offer a variety of parking sites with shuttle service. It will cost $7 to part at City Stadium, all other city sites will charge $5.  Just where those parking lots have not been announced yet. 

WANTED: Police Say Man Crashed Into Police Cruiser

TRIANGLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police are still looking for a man who they say tried to run over police officers while driving away from them in Triangle, on Friday.

Christopher Blakeney, 29, of Triangle was just about to be arrested for some active warrants, when he crashed into a car, then a police cruiser to get away, police said.

Del. Ramadan Defends His Decision To Not Report A Trip To Taiwan

FAIRFAX, Va.  (WUSA9) -- Delegate David Ramadan, (R) Loudoun and Prince William Counties, did not report a trip to Taiwan as a gift even though the trip was paid for by the government of Taiwan.

He posted a picture on his Facebook page of himself and four other Virginia lawmakers on the Taiwan trip. Ramadan also blogged and Tweeted about the trip. But, on his gift reporting form, he does not list the $4,000 trip.

"The Department of Commerce set up meetings for me with manufacturers...and I went there to create jobs for Virginia. This was not a gift," said Ramadan.

Delegate Kathy Byron (R ) Lynchburg, who is standing next to Ramadan in the photo, also did not report the trip, but the two other lawmakers who went on the trip did report it.

Police: 74-year-old Va. Woman Assaults Cop, Firefighter

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A woman kicked a firefighter and slammed the door on a police officer, Prince William County Police said in a news release. 

It happened on Tuesday at around 4:50 p.m. on the 1500 block of Maryland Avenue in Woodbridge, police said. 

Vienna Jean Brooks, 74, of Woodbridge, kicked a firefighter, when the firefighter responded to a domestic violence call where she was staying police said.

Student Fired Police Officer Gun on Special Needs School Bus

WINCHESTER, Va, (WUSA9) -- Police responded to a report of a disorderly by a juvenile on a special needs bus. 

A police officer responded to the scene, and after calming the student, remained with the student as the school bus continued its route.  The student was sitting next to the officer when he reached his finger into the officer's holster causing his gun to shoot into the floor of the bus. No injuries were reported, police said.
