Attempted Rape And Burglary Occur On Same Woodbridge Street

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA)-- An attempted rape and burglary occurred on the same street in Woodbridge early Thursday, police said. Police are looking for both suspects.

Police say they responded to a burglary call at 12:55 a.m. The residents of an apartment on Gableridge Turn told police that they were asleep until their dog started barking. The couple said they found an unknown man in the living room. He fled out of the window seconds later. No items were reported missing.

Police are looking for a heavy, black male between the ages of 25 and 30. They say he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jean and black skull cap.

Just six hours later, police responded to the same apartment complex. A 38-year-old woman told police that an unknown man was in her bedroom with a kitchen knife. He ordered the woman to take off her clothes and proceeded to "touch her inappropriately," police said.
