 Salon Daniel of McLean, Va., the premiere hair salon sponsor for Becky’s Fund “Walk This Way” Fashion Show, is hosting a red-carpet silent auction on Sat., Sept. 24 at Salon Daniel from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. kicking off their 20-year anniversary celebration. The salon is marking this 20-year milestone by thanking their clients and giving back to the community by featuring a silent auction that directly benefits Becky’s Fund, a non-profit organization focused on domestic and dating violence awareness and education. City Worship Event Remembers September 11th at Hylton Performing Arts Center

The Life Church Hosts Night of Worship, Prayer and Ballet on 10th Anniversary of Sept. 11

The Life Church and Asaph Dance Ensemble of Manassas, Va. is hosting City-Wide Worship Night on Sun., Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Va. in commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of Sept. 11.  They are combining prayer, contemporary Christian worship music and classical ballet. In the aftermath of yesterday’s 5.8 earthquake and multiple aftershocks, the City of Falls Church Fire Marshal and the Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office encourage City residents to be vigilant concerning possible fire safety concerns around homes and businesses.

Virginia State Board of Elections Results

Yesterday the Primary Elections in two of the City's State Senate Districts were held. The August 2011 unofficial primary election results have been posted. 

 

The next General Election will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. On that date all of the representatives to the Virginia General Assembly (the Virginia State Senate and the House of Delegates) will be elected, as well as the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Absentee voting for these elections begins Friday, September 23.
